Netflix launched operations in India on Wednesday, with plans starting at Rs 500 per month, as the US-based video streaming company pushes ahead with its global expansion plans.
The move confirmed months of speculation on the launch of the service in the second-most populous country in the world.
Netflix will also offer two other plans priced at Rs 650 and Rs 800.

Netflix is aggressively moving into new markets and announced at its event at CES, Las Vegas, that as of today the service is live in nearly every country in the world.
As slowing domestic growth put pressure on the company, Netflix has previously said that it aims to reach 200 countries by the end of 2016
Users can access Netflix through an app on a smart TV, a videogame console, a streaming player, a smartphone or a tablet.
